Should You Avoid Fights in Planet-X?

By ExtractionGamer • Updated April 2026

Short answer: Yes—most of the time, you should avoid fights unless you have a clear advantage, or the enemy has a big prize.

Planet-X isn’t a traditional shooter. Taking fights doesn’t guarantee progress—it increases your risk of losing everything.

Every time you engage another player, you’re risking:

  • Your loot

  • Your position

  • Your chance to extract

Good players don’t chase fights. They avoid them unless the odds are clearly in their favor.

You should only take a fight if:

  • You have better positioning

  • You can surprise the other player

  • The enemy has a big prize

If none of those are true, the safest and smartest play is to disengage.

Another reason to avoid fights is noise. Gunshots attract other players, which can quickly turn one fight into multiple threats. Winning players treat fights as optional—not required.

Bottom line: In Planet-X, avoiding fights is often the difference between extracting and losing everything.
